    Description

    This is an interesting 1851 Large Cent with a strong Counterstamp from D.G.Schaffer, Pa in F condition.   After the Counterstamp of D.G. SCHAFFER, there are letters BETH and an M with a line underneath and 3 dots followed by PA.  Its possible that it refers to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, although I am not sure.  I have no other information about this interesting piece.  The counterstamped large cent has a wonderful look to it.  Nice multi-toned light brown colored planchet and a strongly struck counterstamp. It grades around F condition with excellent eye appeal.  Nice full rims with plenty of details on both sides.  Low Opening Bid. Fast shipping with 1 day turnaround.
