The plant naturally grows in sunny or low mountains. It grows under full sun or partial shade in hot summer, and spreads by its rhizomes. They are tolerant of moist soils or regular soils, and dislike extreme drought.
It usually grows to 30–100 cm (0.98–3.28 ft) long. It has upright, with leaves that are are long and heart-shaped.
Flowers bloom over a long period from June to August. They are tubular and drooping bell-shaped.. There are red spots inside of the flower along with hairs.

    Germination
As with many perennial seeds, these seeds require a period of moist cold to help them begin to grow. This is done by giving them a cold 'winter' period (artificial or natural), and then a warming to simulate 'spring', and time to grow! Here's how this can be done:
Obtain a planting container that has
holes in the bottom for excess water to drain. Place the seeds just under the surface of a sterile seed-start mix, and water. Place them in a clear plastic bag (to retain moisture), and in a refrigerator for 5-6 weeks. Once the cold period is completed, place the container back at room temperature for them to germinate. Be sure to keep the soil moist during this entire germination period. Seedlings will sprout several weeks after the warming period. They require some patience, but are well worth the effort!
These seeds can also be planted in a cold frame outdoors in very early spring, while the temperatures are still cold and fluctuating, as long as you are able to keep the soil consistently moist. They will still need several weeks to germinate.

Ornamental use only. Do not eat any of our seeds, or the plants or parts that they produce! Due to the fact that about 80% of all plant species are not edible to humans and/or animals (contain toxins/poisons of some kind) these are likely to be poisonous.
These seeds are fresh! As with most seeds, if you are not planting your seeds right away, they are best stored in a cool place until you are ready to plant them.
We grow many of our seeds ourselves, which helps ensure that your seeds are fresh and are true to variety! Those that we cannot grow ourselves are obtained from reputable suppliers.
